12 Freelance Platforms for Palestinian Students and Graduates

Learning a new language opens doors — and one of the most practical ones is remote work. Many of our students ask where they can put their English, French, or German to use, or find other freelance work they can do from home. Below is a list of platforms worth exploring, including several built specifically for freelancers in Gaza and Palestine.

General Freelance Marketplaces

Upwork — A large international marketplace where you can offer a range of services including administrative work, teaching, translating, presentations, and writing.

Mostaql — Similar to Upwork, with opportunities in translation, writing, data entry, support, and training services, among others.

Khamsat — Very similar to Upwork and Mostaql, with a wide range of freelance service categories.

Taqat — Very similar to Upwork, Mostaql, and Khamsat.

Platforms Built for Gaza and Palestine

Freelancers in Gaza — Lets you offer teaching, translating, design, and media services. This platform accepts minors.

Forlanso — Similar to Upwork or Khamsat, but requires you to be 18 years old. If you are younger, a parent can apply on your behalf — once your account is accepted, you can start working as usual.

Bright Gaza — A freelance platform connecting Gaza-based talent with opportunities.

Wahat — A support structure for students and freelancers.

Free Skills Training

Go Digital Gaza — Not a job-searching platform, but a free initiative offering courses and lessons to help you develop the skills needed to become a successful freelancer.

Gaza Sky Geeks — Similar to Go Digital Gaza, this programme helps you build the skills needed to work remotely, and connects companies around the world with talented individuals from Gaza.

Teach Your Language Online

NaTakallam — An initiative that allows refugees and conflict-affected individuals to teach their native language. No minimum age requirement was listed, so it may be worth applying even if you are not yet 18.

Preply and italki — Two well-known international platforms where you can create a profile and teach your native or fluent language directly to learners around the world.

As always, take care with any platform that asks for payment to join, and never share personal or financial information you are not comfortable sharing. If you have questions about any of these platforms, feel free to reach out to our coordination team.
