At Ramzunā, we remember the Naksa and its consequences.
The Naksa reshaped the Palestinian and Arab struggle In just a few days, the West Bank including East Jerusalem, Gaza, the Golan Heights, and Sinai fell under occupation. For approximately 400.000 Palestinians, this meant the cruelty of a second exile, deepening the tragedy that began in 1948. Humanitarian conditions worsened, and a new era of military control and dispossession began. Yet amid this loss, the Palestinian voice grew stronger, affirming that this was not a moment of surrender but a refusal to be erased from the land and a commitment to Palestinian identity.
